St Matthew's Anglican Church, Windsor is a Christian community, striving to know God better and to love one another more fully. We hold in common the belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who lived, died and rose again. Through him we can understand God, his plans for us and this world and truly know and serve one another. We base our beliefs and practises firmly on God's revealed Word in the Bible.
We are a community of people who believe that Jesus Christ changes lives.
We believe there is one God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and that God created us, loves us and wants us to know him. The Bible tells us the story of God’s relationship with humanity and, most importantly, the story of Jesus.
We believe Jesus is the Son of God who came into the world to show us what God is like. He taught us how to live, welcomed people from all walks of life, and showed extraordinary love and compassion.
Jesus died on the cross to deal with the problem of sin and separation from God. We believe that God raised Jesus from the dead, and that through faith in Jesus we can receive forgiveness, hope and new life.
We believe the Bible is God’s word and that it speaks into the questions and challenges of everyday life.
You don't need to understand everything before you come to church. In fact, asking questions is a great place to start. We regularly read the Bible together, hear it explained, and think about what it means for our lives today.
Church is more than a building or a Sunday service. It is a community of people learning to follow Jesus, supporting one another and seeking to love and serve the people around us.
You might be someone who has been a Christian for years. You might be returning to church after a long time away. Or you might simply be curious about Christianity and wondering what it is all about.
