Where History Meets Eternity
St Matthew's Anglican Parish Windsor began ten years of bicentennials in October 2017. We meet in the olderst Anglican church building (by foundation stone) in Australia having been commissioned by Governor Lachlan Macquarie and designed and built by Francis Greenway. Our properties include four State Heritage listed elements - the graveyard (1810); the church (foundation stone 1817); the Rectory (1825) and the Stables (1826).
 
A church is a living organism of people. As a body we continue to seek to be a credible presence of Jesus Christ in the Hawkesbury.
 
We meet to proclaim Jesus, and gather around his word at 9am on Sunday. There is a Kids Church for children aged from 3 to primary during the service.
 
There is a midweek gathering at 10am on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
 
Bible study group meets in the church at 6pm Tuesday (with the exception of holiday periods).
 
We want church to be a safe place where believers and questioners can hear the word of God read and expounded with reference to the world we live in day by day. We seek to be a church that builds and equips God's people to be all that He intended us to be.

  • No one will make you stand up or speak
  • You won’t be asked for money
