Financially supporting gospel ministry here at St Matthew’s is a joyful response to the incredible grace God has lavished upon us in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We recommend regular, planned giving via direct debit through your online banking. This allows our Wardens and Parish Council to plan prudently and effectively, making wise decisions to resource current ministries and new gospel initiatives where God is leading us. Regular giving helps us overcome forgetfulness and enables us to share the load of ministry sustainably as a church family.
We praise God for the generosity of His people, which makes the vital work of St Matthew’s Windsor possible. We use these financial gifts to strengthen our congregation in God's Word, equip our people for service, and provide the necessary resources for ministry. We also allocate funds from our budget to support local outreach and our global mission partners.
If you are a regular part of our church family at St Matthew’s, we invite you to partner with us in this way as we seek to know Christ and make Him known in Windsor and beyond.
St Matthew’s Windsor has stood as a gathering place for Christian worship and gospel proclamation for over two centuries. As faithful stewards of this historic site, our Wardens and Parish Council are committed to its ongoing restoration, ensuring the building continues to serve our church family and the wider community for generations to come.
We are grateful for those who wish to financially support this significant preservation work.
Under the guidelines of the Australian Taxation Office and the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, general offerings and donations to religious institutions for ministry purposes are not tax-deductible. However, due to the profound historical significance of our church building, we operate a formal conservation appeal in partnership with the National Trust of Australia (NSW).
Because the National Trust is a registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, donations made specifically to the St Matthew’s Windsor National Trust Appeal are fully tax-deductible. These funds are held securely and released only for approved heritage conservation works on the church property.
ST MATTHEWS ANGLICAN CHURCH OF AUSTRALIA WINDSOR is registered under ABN 38 838 687 145, and has non-profit status with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission as a Basic Religious Charity. While this non-profit status exempts St Matthew's regular parish income from taxation, the Australian Taxation Office does not grant Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status for general religious ministry, meaning that regular church offerings and general donations made directly to this ABN are not tax-deductible.
We operate a formal conservation appeal in partnership with the National Trust of Australia (NSW). The National Trust holds the required DGR status, allowing them to collect fully tax-deductible donations on St Matthew's behalf. These contributed funds are held securely by the Trust and released exclusively for approved heritage conservation works on St Matthew's historic church property.
Further information regarding how the National Trust safely manages these external conservation arrangements can be found on their Tax Deductible Appeals page: https://www.nationaltrust.org.au/services/tax-deductible-appeals/
