Baptism
At St Matthews we love speaking with people about Jesus. We are glad to discuss baptism and what it means.
Baptism whether for children or adults is a wonderful moment when a person declares their faith in Jesus Christ. Parents and godparents do that on behalf of children. Adults speak for themselves.
We normally baptise people during one of our normal church services once a month.
Preparation is required before the baptism. We will meet with both parents at least twice.
We always encourage people to regularly come to church and to be active in the life of St Matthews.
We understand some families have a long history with St Matthews. We are happy to discuss the possibility of baptism but may require you to do preparation with your local Anglican church.
